2016 Zhang Violin Method Pedagogy Conference 

The Zhang Violin Method Pedagogy Conference brings together violin educators from Australia, China & United States of America. Convening in February 2016 the Zhang Violin Method Pedagogy Conference is an exciting forum to introduce Professor Peter Shixiang Zhang’s violin teaching method and the application of his research on utilising multimedia and Internet technology in 21st-century violin pedagogy. In addition, to the scheduled events and meetings the conference provides extensive opportunity for informal dialogue, discussion and networking. 

The conference sessions include the topics: 

• Professor Zhang’s newly published books Zhang ShiXiang Progressive Violin Repertoire Volume 1 – 8 and his violin teaching method which integrates multimedia and Internet technology.
• Introducing the online violin learning resource www.zhangviolin.org. 
• Professor Zhang’s research finding on How to Practice and video demonstration. 

Guest speakers: 

• Internationally acclaimed Australian violinist Charmian Gadd 
• Sheau-Fang Low, an established violin teacher in Sydney, presenting a session on the application of Dalcroze Eurhythmics (for kinaesthetic learners) in violin teaching

Conference Dates & Time:

Friday 19 February 2016 – Registration from 4.00pm, dinner & evening launch 

Saturday 20 February 2016 – Full day sessions 

Sunday 21 February 2016 – Full day sessions 

Monday 22 February 2016 – The conference will conclude by 10am after breakfast.

Conference Fees:

Full fee: A$360 per person including conference, accommodation and meals for the conference duration.

Partial session fee: A$135 per person (February 20 & 21 day sessions, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea only, limited seats only)

Concerts ticket: $60 per person (Including 20th Feb evening concert, Masterclass on 14:00 21st Feb and 21st Feb evening concert) 

Masterclass only: $30 per person (Single session only, start 14:00, 21st February)
